I often see bumper-stickers on cars that say “God is my co-pilot.” My immediate thought always is–the wrong person is piloting the plane. God needs to be the pilot and not the co-pilot. Karen and I both have spent time in prayer for our trip to Europe. Having never been overseas, we are somewhat nervous about what we will encounter. Of course national news is always reporting about terrorist attacks, war and rumors of war. That’s enough to make anyone a little unsettled. Add to that all the warnings about pickpockets and others who want to steal what you have and there is plenty to pray about.

We completely trust in God no matter what happens on our journey. We invite those of you–primarily family and friends–who are following us to lift us up in prayer as we might cross your thoughts. Thank you.
